The Africa Trust has appointed Khanyi Pupuma to oversee the establishment of small businesses in the eastern cape to provide local employment and some funding for the trust.

He has started with a barbershop business which is employing five barbers and he is exploring a number of new business opportunities including a tannery, the treatment of fencing poles and a fishery project.

Business skills training courses are planned for the eastern cape which is the poorest province in the country.
